This Year’s Theme: Accepting Imperfection
Students explored the theme "Accepting Imperfection", creating original works of art that reflected their personal interpretations. This theme encouraged them to embrace flaws as part of growth and creativity.
BMMS Award Winners at Palomar Council
A special congratulations to our talented BMMS students who were recognized at the Palomar Council Reflections Program:
Award of Excellence: Gwen Nasvasa, 7th grade, "Shadows to Stardust"Â (Music Composition)
Award of Merit: Sadie Peterson, 6th grade, "Imperfections"Â (Literature)
Award of Merit: Katelyn Drake, 8th grade, "Using Imperfections to Heal"
Honorable Mention: Leilah DeJoy, 6th grade, "Perfectly Imperfect"Â (Film Production)

Palomar Council Participation and Recognition
The Palomar Council PTA celebrated entries from thirteen schools, with a total of 98 submissions this year. It’s an honor to see BMMS students recognized among such an outstanding group of young artists.
Award Ribbons and Certificates for all Palomar Council recipients will be distributed to school unit Presidents at the next in-person Palomar Council association meeting, expected in March 2025.
Looking Ahead and Getting Involved
If you missed the chance to participate this year, don’t worry! The Reflections Program is an annual event, and there’s always next year to showcase your creativity. Start brainstorming for the next theme and join us in celebrating the arts!
We are also currently looking for new PTSA Committees to help us continue supporting our school community and planning meaningful events like the Reflections Program.
